The 2U 2406 is the perfect rack for a low-priced storage system.

The excellent quality of the materials combined with superb workmanship establishes the basis for a very variable case.

The 2U 2406 offers the possibility to mount maximal six 2.5" or 3.5" Hot-Swap HDDs, one 5.25" external drive and one 2.5" internal drive. In scope of delivery is a 5.25" drive bay to mount 4x 2.5" or 1x 3.5" HDDs, if you don ́t need a 5.25" drive. The 2U 2406 is equipped with four serial 80mm fans behind the drive bays to ensure a solid cooling.

Both serial USB 3.0 front connectors round off the whole package.

For the use of the backplanes in this product we recommend controllers of the manufacturers Avago^® (formerly LSI^®) and Areca^®.

Please note!
The included backplanes only support S-ATA-Controller connection!
In operation with SAS-Controllers with SFF-8087 Connector, please order the optional available Cable SFF-8087 to 4x S-ATA, 1.0m in right quantity.

Note!
By use in combination with an Intel^® Onboard S-ATA-Controller the Controller has to be set to RAID-Mode (Hot-Plug will be set automatically) or every port separately to Hot-Plug / external Port (depends on your BIOS).
If these settings are not available in your BIOS, maybe an error-free use is only possible by using an additional S-ATA-Controller.
